Rotation & Fixation Pins

Kirschner wires, or K-wires, serve as essential temporary fixation tools in various orthopedic procedures. They are designed for provisional stabilization and should be removed once definitive fixation (e.g., with screws and plates) is achieved.

In the InVictos system, use K-wires to:

Facilitate rotation of the proximal tibial fragment
Maintain the rotated proximal fragment in the desired position throughout the TPLO procedure
Secure the jig firmly to the bone for accurate alignment
Temporarily stabilize the InVictos Elevation TPLO plate during precise placement and contour verification

The InVictos Elevation TPLO plates include dedicated K-wire holes for reliable temporary fixation, enhancing intraoperative versatility and helping achieve consistent, repeatable results. This supports the system’s focus on precision, reduced soft tissue irritation, and optimal outcomes for veterinary patients.
